Hello, I’m Sarah!

I’m so happy you’re here! Welcome to Home and Roses where you will learn all about home DIY projects, gardening and how to live a more simple, slower life.

I’m originally from Sydney, Australia and now live in Northern California with my husband and son. We love to spend time together hanging out at home, playing in our backyard and answering the many demands of our cat Cinnamon.

Before blogging, I was an elementary school teacher. I loved my job and teaching is one of the best things I have ever done. I hope that here on Home and Roses I will be able to share with you not just knowledge and skills that I have, but my passion for all things home and garden in a fun and friendly way, and that you will share that with me.

I am the oldest in my family. I have a younger sister and two younger brothers.

I would give up chocolate before Coca-Cola.

One of my favorite places in the world is Venice in LA.

I love horses and dream of owning one one day.

I watch The Office and Bob’s Burgers nightly.
